So here I am, sat at a fancy bar on Venice's Grand Canal, drinking a Bellini and snacking on some of the best olives I've ever tasted. I know, I make you sick. Sorry. I'm alone, so the waiters keep coming over and asking if "everything is okay, Signorina?" and I must admit it's making me feel like a movie star. It won't last, especially when the bill comes and that's all my Euros gone. *sigh*
Anyway, just a quick one for now to share what I've bought today. I popped in to Sephora because a) it's awesome and b) we don't have it at home so I had to buy things now. Hannah Gale (love) put a post up the other week on her Paris Sephora haul, and I decided I needed that contour duo crayon in my life asap! I need to confess at this point that I don't know how to contour. Not a single clue. But this looked like it might just be a solution for someone as clueless as I am. I went for the lightest one because I'm pretty pale skinned, and am gonna give it a go tonight and use my new set of fancy contour brushes to hopefully avoid looking like a clown contouring 'before' shot.
Then I predictably got carried away and bought a new high-coverage concealer because my current one's rubbish, and a "Color Lip Last" matte lipstick (No 22 - Burgundy Spirit) cos, as I think we've established, I'm a sucker for a matte lip.
That's all for now folks, there'll be a full post of Venice to come in the next couple of days when I come down from my Bellini haze.
I should probably also tell you that, whilst that first photo looks very glam and exciting, the entire time I've been writing this pigeons have been landing on my table and trying to pinch my peanuts. Gotta love the high-low.
